NOFOAM 1976 is a dispersion of a hydrophobic solid in oil and may separate upon standing. It should be mixed well before each use. All ingredients in NOFOAM -1976 are listed under 21 CFR 175.105 Adhesives, 175.200 Defoaming agents used in coatings, 176.210 Defoaming agents used in the manufacture of paper and paperboard.
NOFOAM -1976 is a versatile defoamer/antifoam agent useful in a wide variety of industrial applications. It is stable in conditions of extreme pH (<1 - 14) and temperature > 350 o F and thus finds use in such diverse applications as phosphoric acid production, caustic digestion of aluminum ores, jet dyeing. NOFOAM -1976 combines the best properties of organosilicone and organic based foam control agents. NOFOAM -1976 is a silicone free dispersion of a surface modified inorganic silica in mineral oil. Coatings using NOFOAM-1976 are not subject to pinholes or recoating problems as sometimes occurs with silicone based foam control agents. NOFOAM -1976 also resists hydrolysis in strong alkali which occurs with some silicone based foam control agents. NOFOAM -1976 has also been successful used in adhesives, detergents, effluent treatment, emulsion polymerization, gas treating, ink, mining, paints, paper coatings, processing and pulping, textile processes.

Aryl Alkyl Sulfonic Acid | US Patent 6,043,391
Oil Chem Technologies has developed a new family of anionic surfactants derived from the reaction of alpha olefin sulfonic acids and various aromatic compounds.
This surfactant type differs from the traditional alkyl aryl sulfonic acid since the new AASA has the SO3 group attached to the alklyl chain instead on the benzene ring and bring a series of completely different properties. They can be used to replace traditional alkyl aryl sulfonate with added benefits in the following industries:
- Emulsifer in asphalt application
- lube oil additives
- Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) surfactants
- Asphaltene dispersant
- Crystal habit modifier
- Catalyst
- detergents

Oil Chem Technologies mining surfactants have been developed to overcome harsh condition encountered in mining process such as extremes of pH, high salinities and high degrees of hardness.
These surfactants have been used for many extraction applications including copper, rare earths, and coal. This includes anionic and cationic collectors to impart hydrophobicity to mineral surfaces allowing them to be floated and separated. Other products available:
- Frothers to stabilize bubbles in the pulping phase.
- Surfactants to assist in the grinding operation, treating acid drainage and the transportation of ore.
- Dust suppression agents to reduce equipment damage, increase visibility and provide environmentally safe working conditions.
- Defoamers for application such as phosphoric acid extraction and alkaline digestion of cryolite.
- Dewatering agents to treat ores during various stages of mineral extraction.
- Surfactants are to reduce or prevent microbial attachment and attack on iron ores.
